COOL CUTTING OIL is a general purpose cutting oil, which forms a dense white emulsion with excellent anti-corrosion properties when added to water. It shows good stability in water from most municipal supplies, although some pre-treatment is usually necessary where the water quality exceeds 500ppm hardness (as calcium carbonate), else emulsion instability and a deterioration in the rust protection may be observed.
“COOL CUTTING OIL is suitable for the majority of general machining operations on the more easily machined materials. Examples include milling, drilling, turning, boring and cold sawing for which concentrations in the range 20:1 to 35:1 are recommended. It may also be used in less critical grinding applications where it should be used at lower concentrations, in the range of 35:1 to 50:1.
